Who we are. Live On Mission is operated by United Under God. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. Your sign-in is handled through our shared United Under God identity system. When you use the Platform you may also provide: needs you post and offers to help; stories you submit; onboarding answers about your interests and how you want to serve; and any messages or reports you send us.
Information we generate. As you use the Platform we record activity such as service RSVPs and attendance, hand-off matches and their safety codes, milestones and progress, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your information. We use it to operate the Platform: to match people who need help with people offering help, to show you relevant opportunities, to display approved stories, to keep the community safe (including reviewing reports and enforcing blocks and suspensions), and to comply with the law.
What other users can see. When you post a need or offer to help, the other person in that hand-off can see your name and the details you chose to share so the two of you can coordinate. Stories are only shown publicly after review, and you may submit a story anonymously. Choose carefully what personal information you include in a public need or story.
How we share information. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the Platform on our behalf (for example, our database and hosting provider), when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our community, or in the ordinary operation of features you use (such as showing your name to a person you are helping).
Security. We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and row-level database security. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your account credentials and use good judgment about what you share.
Your choices and rights. You may access and correct your information, request deletion of your account and associated data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Children. The Platform is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Platform and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the date above when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
