Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms. Live On Mission (“the Platform”) is operated by United Under God. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What Live On Mission is. The Platform helps people find practical ways to serve their community: curated service opportunities, a needs board where one person can ask for help and another can offer it, and a place to share stories of what happened. It is a tool for connecting people who want to help with people who need help.

3. Eligibility. The Platform is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Meeting other people — read this carefully. Live On Mission may connect you with people you do not already know, and helping with a need may involve meeting in person or in someone’s home. We do not vet, screen, or conduct background checks on users unless a badge on their profile explicitly says otherwise, and even then we cannot guarantee anyone’s identity, safety, or conduct. You interact and meet with other users entirely at your own risk. Use common sense: meet in a safe way, tell someone you trust where you are going, use the safety code feature, and stop any interaction that feels unsafe. If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

5. No professional advice. The Platform and its content are provided for general community and informational purposes only. They are not legal, medical, financial, or therapeutic advice, and peer support is not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters.

6. Community conduct. You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person; misrepresent your identity or impersonate anyone; post false, misleading, or fraudulent needs, offers, or stories; solicit money under false pretenses; or violate the privacy of others. We may remove content and suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe threaten the safety of the community.

7. Reporting and safety tools. You can report a safety concern about someone you have been matched with, and you can block another user so they can no longer connect with you. Reports go to our team for review. Blocking prevents future matches with that person and hides your needs from them. These tools help, but they are not a substitute for your own judgment and, where needed, law enforcement.

8. Your content. Stories, needs, and other content you submit remain yours. By submitting them, you grant us permission to display and distribute them within the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. Stories shared publicly are reviewed before they appear. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

9. No warranty. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that needs will be met, that helpers or requesters will follow through, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Under God and Live On Mission are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any user, arising from your use of the Platform or from any interaction or meeting between users.

11. Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
